Welcome to St Mary's Preschool
St Mary's Preschool operates under the auspices of the St Mary's Parish.
Strategically positioned in the Valley, St Mary’s Preschool (SMP) opened its doors to an eager Anguillian community on 26th September 1983. Miss Veda Harrigan served as the head teacher, while supported by her assistant, Mrs Hazel Brooks. In 1984 Mrs Rosalind Pond became head teacher and on her retirement in 1993, Mrs Hazel Brooks was appointed Head Teacher until August 2017, when she too retired.
St Mary’s Preschool has had a proud heritage and a lasting legacy. Many successful professionals, who work and contribute to the success and progress of Anguilla, can hold the distinction of receiving strong foundational and educational St Mary’s values. These can include lawyers, doctors, teachers, male and female pilots and more. SMP has strategically moved from teaching 25 students to over 100. SMP’s convenient location boasts modern architecture exhibiting 10 classrooms, comfortable child-friendly furniture and an enclosed playground. SMP has also been known for its many award winning successes in the CCB now NCBA “Veto the Vector” competitions.
The SMP family believes in building with the support of the Anguillian community.
It is for this reason that the SMP welcomes all contributions and assistance for the benefit of its students.
